Kul spel som går ut på att balansera två sidor av en sorts våggenom att använda olika roliga figurer som vikter.

På CD-ROMen står det att spelet är för Windows 95/98/2000/NT4 (Funkar även till många nya datorer.)

Keep the Balance is a relatively fast twitch puzzle game. The basicidea is to propel different weight items onto two sides of a scaleuntil such time as the weight on both sides is balanced. When thishappens you get a bonus score and begin again, with new pieces andthe game running a bit faster.

The items you propel onto the scales are not static however, theysometimes interact. So, for example, a lion will swat at otheranimals near it and maybe knock them back off the scales. You canalso propel new items on top of old ones to replace them. Each sideof the scale has five slots to fill up. To make life even harderthere is a Jester. This guy moves around and will randomly propelthings onto the scales or jump on them himself and removethings.

You lose the game by having the scales get so weight imbalancedthat a monkey at the top falls off of the cross bar. Poor Monkey!The game keeps tracks of how much weight you propelled onto thebars in total (you score points for that) as well as any balanceand difficulty bonuses and will record high scores achieved.

From a pure mechanistic perspective the game is simple enough, youuse the left and right arrow keys to move your aim point and thespace bar to push the item above your aim point onto the scale.There are ten aim points in total (five for each side of thescale). The difficulty comes in because you end up having to watchtoo many very different places on the screen at once. These arewhere your aim point is, what is on the scales above them, theweight (and type of item) moving on both sides of the scales (indifferent directions) and the total weight on each scale shownabove the scale.
