Gaming has never had it so good. Vagrant Story is a graphically groundbreaking game of epic proportions set in medieval Europe, in and around the gargantuan city of evil, Leá Monde.
Although once a city of lavish splendour, rumoured to have been built by the legendary Priestess Müllenkamp, it has become a forgotten wasteland since the devastating earthquake that struck 25 years ago. Now battle is about to break out for supremacy over the legacy that lies amongst the ruins and labyrinth of dungeons; a battle to seek the truth.
The main character, Ashley Riot, is a Riskbreaker, an elite agent of the Valendia Knights of Peace (VKP). Events unfold with a bloody confrontation between Ashley and Sydney Losstarot, leader of the Müllenkamp cult, during the occupation of Duke Bardorbas manor and the abduction of his only child.
Sydney retreats into the depths of Leá Monde luring Ashley into a chase in which he faces endless obstacles and creatures born from the powers of magic. Ashley sets off to penetrate the evil city of Leá Monde and the web of conspiracy, murder, and the darkest of cult magic that resides within its walls.
Squaresoft has an unchallenged pedigree in the RPG genre, with titles like the Final Fantasy series to its credit, and Vagrant Storys unique combat system carries the 3D living comic book story to new heights.
The system creates a blend of action, adventure and stealth and the multi-layered storyline will grip and enthral players from the outset.
