All That You Can´t Leave Behind was thetenth studio album by Irish rock band U2, released o the 30th ofOctober 2000. The band did a lot of promotion for the album duringSeptember and October that year and they did several Radio and TVshows, including a number of U2 firsts such as appearances on MTV´sTotal Request Live, USA Network´s Farmclub.com, and Saturday NightLive. Theband also did a short concert for about 600 people at theManRay club in Paris, France, on 19 October 2000. This albumfeatures some of those appearances the band did during this AllThat You Can´t Leave Behind Promo Tour. First out we have the bandsBBC Radio 1 session recorded at Maida Vale Studio on the 23rd ofOctober, it is followed by the KROQ Session from Stage 42 at theUniversal Studios on the 26th of October and The RTI Session atClarence Hoteln in Dublin on the 27th of September. The album thenends with the bands complete performance at the Self Aid festivalat the RDS Arena in Dublin on the 17th of May 1986. Self Aid was anunemployment benefit concert held by primarily Irish musicians,although Elvis Costello and Chris Rea, both Englishmen of Irishdescent, were designated "honorary Irishmen" for the day. Thepurpose of the concert was to highlight the chronic unemploymentproblem in Ireland at the time, with nearly 250,000 peopleunemployed. The 14-hour concert was the largest that had ever beenstaged in Ireland. Tributes were also paid to Phil Lynott who haddied just 4 months earlier, including a performance by a reformedThin Lizzy with Gary Moore on lead vocals. U2 performed 5 tracksand among them we have a magnificent version of Bob Dylan´sMaggie´s Farm.
