Musiclovers in Berlin had a serious decision to make Tuesday nite: BobDylan or White Stripes. The Treptow Arena (25th of October 2005) isa venue Dylan obviously cherishes otherwise he wouldn’t have chosento play it again for the 4th time around in five years. The arenawas once an old, run-down bus-depot in the former East but itstotally restored and its now a down-right cosy place that Dylanobvious loves. Fans that saw the previous show in Hamburg says thatthe Berlin show was way more rock. Maggies Farm was way morecharged-up and advancing Watching The River Flow to the number 3spot on the set list further underlined the fact that this wasgonna be a hard-rocking show. Sure there were tunes that slowedthings down like a lovely Tonight, I’ll Be Staying Here With You ora to-melt-to version of Just Like A Woman; but the rock-bottom-linewas drawn under scorching versions of It’s Alright, Ma, Cold IronsBound, Down Along The Cove, Highway 61, Like A Rolling Stone andAll Along The Watchtower. After All Along The Watchtower Dylan andthe band got one hell of an applause – and there he stood, noddinghis head. Having a tremendous look in his eyes that answered alland every question why he is still on the road. Consensus became:this was another awesome Arena-show for Bob and his band (who stuckout a lot more than the night before). Some claimed the gig to beeven superior to the one previous but that’s comparing apples tooranges…
