ABOUT THE CD ALBUM

Bom Bom Chip was a Spanish group that began in the 90s and reached great popularity among Spanish children. It was made up of two boys (José Luis Cid de Rivera Kuiperdal and Sergio Martín Flecken) and three girls (Estela Sala Cebrian, Cristina Hervás Boti and Rebeca Marcos Morales).

His musical career was short and very successful. The album Take, take and take (1992) achieved considerable sales success in Spain, becoming a platinum record, so that in 1993 they recorded the album We are not tadpoles, which includes its best known song, Take a lot of fruit, a success that made apology of the fruit as nutritious food and that included rhymes like "Fill your fridge with kilos of pear" or "Watermelon rajas at night and day".

This theme became several weeks in the Spanish sales lists and its video clip was bombarded in the TVE advertising breaks, becoming part of the channel's programming campaign during that year. In this campaign, the lyrics of the song "drink a lot of fruit" were changed during the summer of 1993, since the refrain of "fill your fridge with kilos of pears", changed to "come to the first one because it is the repera".

They released a third album, Ice Cream for Astronauts (1994), and starred in the movie The Invisible Child (1995), from which a BSO of the same title was published, formed by the group's great successes and several unpublished tracks.

At the end of 1995 the group was dissolved, since the film had a high budget within the canons of Spanish cinema. On the other hand, the corresponding album of his soundtrack was not very successful either. All this together with the disagreements between its two producers, caused the group to disappear shortly thereafter. At that time, the average age of the members of the group was around 13, and their music was too childish for the audience they were addressing.

Currently, only two members (Rebeca and Sergio) work as actors with brief appearances in television series and in some films. The other three have left the show.
