This model features Yamaha's AXP Thinline body, matched with a cutaway profile, combining comfort, easy access to upper frets, and a tonal character that is ideal for stage performance. This body style delivers bright, clear mids, well-balanced highs, and controlled lows with great dynamics, sensitivity, and superb clarity. It also provides comfort due to its slimmer depth and compact size, as well as reducing the likeliness of undesirable feedback when plugged in.

For an added comfort, the APX700II-12 features a cutaway profile that promotes the access to upper the fingerboard, making it easy to reach challenging chords, enabling players to perform more technical abilities. It also features an APX oval sound hole, which thickens its lower to mind response and delivers an open low end, offering both great projection and volume as well as an instantly recognisable appearance.

Sculpted for perfection

The APX700II features a crafted solid spruce top, which yields crisp articulation and delivers a broad dynamic range. Spruce is commonly used to construct guitar tops as the wood generates a versatile tonality that accommodates numerous techniques from more aggressive strumming patterns to fingerpicking styles. It also resonates well, whilst remaining strong to deliver a focused, clear sound of deep lows, warm mid-range, and bright sparkling highs. The versatile top is coupled with nato back and sides, which offer a similar tonal character and appearance to mahogany, producing a rich warm resonance that responds greatly to numerous styles of play.

Ready for stage and studio

In order to further enhance this model, it comes equipped with a System 64 preamp, which has been recently developed and designed by Yamaha, making it ideal for live and rehearsal environments. Its 1-way system has two pickups mounted inside of the guitar underneath the saddle, offering a powerful, authentic acoustic tone. The preamp is powered by AA sized batteries, and offers the convenience of an on-board tuner, providing precise and easy tuning with a 3-band EQ.

The APX700II-12 also features special A.R.T technology, which is an innovative system that has four contact microphones situated in the sweet spots of the guitar's bridge, creating a 3-way system with individual controls for bass and treble. This technology dampens vibration from the guitar top whilst picking up resonance to deliver the perfect sensitivity and dynamic balance. Its sophisticated system focuses on the areas of the guitar top that define the guitar's sound, offering superb, amplified sound that is sure to impress crowds.
