Germany. The Victories in Battle of Höchstädt 1703 & Battle of Blenheim 1704.
Engraved and produced by Friedrich Kleinert, Nuremberg, Germany year 1704. It was struck in silver, tin and wood (wood for use as a draughtsman). Tin 44 mm. Weight 29,5 gram. Rare!
Obverse:
Two Victories at top, support three shields bearing the portraits of Prince Eugune, Louis Prince of Baden and Johann Duke of Marlborough. Beneath is an inscribed banner.
On the three shields: "EVGEN . DVX . SABAVD.", "LVDOV . WILH . MARCH . BADEN.", "IOHANN . DVX . MARLEBVRG.".
On the banner under the shields: "HIS TVTELARIBVS" (With these protectors).
Along the edge: "PROBATA SOCIORVM VIRTVS FIDESQVE" (The valour and faith of the Allies is proved).
Exergue: "FRANCONIA SERVATA", "SVEVIA LIBERATA", "1704." (Franconia preserved, Swabia delivered).
Reverse:
The Genius of the Danube contemplating Victory, seated amidst a pile of arms, and inscribing the date 13 August of the battle of Blenheim on a shield.
On the shield: "XIII AVG".
Along the edge: "TALLARD . FR . MARESCH . CVM MVLT . DVCIB . ET . X MILLIB . MILIT . CAPTIS." (Tallard, Marshal of France, with many generals and 10,000 soldiers made prisoners).
Exergue: "GALLIS BAVARISQVE", "DEVICTIS." (The French and the Bavarians defeated).
Edge:

THE FIRST BATTLE OF HÖCHSTÄDT (1703)
The first Battle of Höchstädt took place on 20 September 1703 during the War of the Spanish Succession. Fought near Höchstädt an der Donau in Bavaria, a combined Franco-Bavarian force under Claude Louis Hector de Villars defeated an Imperial army led by Hermann Otto II of Limburg Stirum.
THE BATTLE OF BLENHEIM (1704)
The Battle of Blenheim (German: Zweite Schlacht bei Höchstädt; French: Bataille de Höchstädt; Dutch: Slag bij Blenheim) fought on 13 August 1704, was a major battle of the War of the Spanish Succession. The overwhelming Allied victory ensured the safety of Vienna from the Franco-Bavarian army, thus preventing the collapse of the reconstituted Grand Alliance.
