Greek black metal legends Rotting Christ formed in 1988, withtheir early demo recordings containing strong grindcore elements asthe band quickly evolved their style into something altogetherdarker. Spearheaded by brothers Sakis and Themis Tolis, RottingChrist have remained one of the strongest and most respected forcesin the black metal scene since their debut release Passage OfArcturo. Their legacy towards greatness was cemented even furtherby the genre classic follow-up Thy Mighty Contract, helping tofirmly establish the Greek scene as being among the most essentialblack metal movements of the early 90’s. The Abyssic Black Metalalbum features early recordings done between 1989 and 1992.
