On paper, Get It Out, the full-length debut album from AltitudesAnd Attitude, might imply something other than a collection ofsmartly crafted melodic hard-rock songs. After all, A&A is acollaboration between Anthrax's Frank Bello and Megadeth's DavidEllefson - two virtuosic bass players who've anchored some of thefiercest thrash records of all time. But Get It Out reaches farbeyond the boundaries of an all-star metal outing or aninstrumental chops fest. Tuneful yet aggressive, fun yetthought-provoking, the album is a testament to the expressivestrength of rock songcraft. Boasting producer Jay Ruston (Anthrax,Stone Sour, Steel Panther), drummer Jeff Friedl (A Perfect Circle,Devo, Filter) and a deep bench of guest stars including Ace Frehleyand Gus G., the record also represents the fulfilment of a lifelongbut little-known ambition for two uniquely gifted artists. As Belloputs it, All I ever wanted to do was write good songs. I've alwaysbeen a melody guy. I love hooks; I love catchy songs with a goodriff. Get It Out is simply put; sonically brilliant and lyricallypersonal with music that sounds more like Foo Fighters than Anthraxor Megadeth. This record shows that Frank Bello not only is a topnotch performer, but an amazing singer and song writer aswell definitely an underrated superstar of Anthrax. Give this banda chance.
