CannibalCorpse vocalist George Corpsegrinder Fisher first solo album issimply called Corpsegrinder. Corpsegrinder comments: When Jameyapproached me to do this record, I was fired up to get into thestudio with Erik Rutan and record the vocals. It’s a mix of deathmetal, thrash and hardcore, and it sounds heavy as hell. ProducerJamey Jasta adds: Working with George has been a dream come true,he’s one of the best dudes in metal and one of the most brutalvoices EVER. He’s outdone himself on this album. Throughout theyears, Fisher has become a beloved figure in the metal scene andbeyond, having one of heavy music’s most brutal voices. In additionto having spent more than a quarter of a century fronting CannibalCorpse, he has been involved in several side projects, includingPaths Of Possession and Serpentine Dominion. He has also guested onvarious recordings from such acts as Suffocation and SuicideSilence. The Corpsegrinder album will feature a guest appearancefrom Erik Rutan (Cannibal Corpse, Hate Eternal) on the track AcidVat, the album also sees Charlie Bellmore (Dee Snider, ex-ToxicHolocaust) handle guitar and bass duties, with Nick Bellmore (DeeSnider, ex-Toxic Holocaust) on drums. Together, they created a10-song effort that is chock-full of death metal, hardcore thrash,plus Corpsegrinder’s signature guttural vocals.
