The gloriously misspelled Wikkyd Vikkerbecome another of the lost New Wave of British Heavy Metal erabands to have various demos etc. from back then re-discovered andfinally brought out on albums for the masses. Formed in 1981 theband relased a demo, and the rare single Black Of The Night,released without picture sleeve, as well as getting a track ontothe Ebony compilation album Metallic Storm in 1982. Their single isan instant NWOBHM classic with excellent riff an great vocals. Nowwhen we get to hear more from the band, with this release, then wefind out that the band also shows that they were influenced byprogg, Thin Lizzy and Rush. The booklet also brings out some funanecdotes about life on the road and home made stageprops andpyrotechnics. Overall a great compilation album for fans of theEnglish way of making metal.
