The Swedish band VAK released theirfirst album in 2017, but their career was put on hold when one ofthe members became seriously ill by Lemierre's syndrome and atrombose in his head. Fortunately it ended well, so VAK returnedand released their second album Loud Wind. The album was mixed andmastered by Magnus Lindberg (Cult Of Luna). The members of VAK havebroad experience from various bands and genres, such as SwitchOpens, Misery Loves Co., Slowland, Rat, Sesam, Gordon Fights, Musicis the Weapon, The Field and Gösta Berlings Saga. The band's soundis hard to define; among the band’s inspirations you will findnames like Radiohead, Tool, Mastodon, Genesis, Kate Bush, RageAgainst the Machine, Breach, Neil Young and Soundgarden. Onecrucial factor is that all five members of the band are equallyimportant, VAK are emphatically democratic in their creativeprocess and the end result is an intoxicating amalgam of genresthat feels fresh and exciting.
