If you’re looking for Sci-Fi based Industrial Metalthen this album will most likely please you. The Kovenent have longbeen away from their Black Metal roots and though now and then afaster riff or more complex drumming lines occur that’s about asclose as it gets. Lex the vocalist of Kovenant normally sticks to aclean deeper tone throughout S.E.T.I. but often changes over to ahigh pitched growl similar to that of old Cradle of Filth. TheGuitarist and Keyboardist; Psy is an especially gifted musician.All of the tracks have amazing keyboard and programmingarrangements done mainly by Psy, From Higher pitched echoed outspace like sounds to distorted classical piano arrangements. Manypeople are surprised to find out that whom is considered to be oneof metal’s greatest drummers Von Blomberg A.K.A. Hellhammer sitsbehind the kit for Kovenant. The beats this guy puts down areamazing and often he uses synth pads to make some interesting tonesbut often he just plays the classic kit and surprising he’s so goodthat he makes it sound excellent with the Industrial/Electronicarrangements. The fourth album ‘Seti’ showcase a group that is notafraid to experiment with different genres, taking their music farbeyond black and industrial metal boundaries.
