8th Sin were founded by IT and Michael Bohlin in 1999-2000 whenthe idea came up to combine several elements in metal/goth andsynth/electro to create something fresh and new, not to serve thecharts but their own satisfaction. IT was the former of bands likeAbruptum, Ophthalamia, War (with Peter Tagtgren and David BlackmoonParland) and Vondur in the 90 and released 13 albums during hisearlier musical career in various constellations. Michael producedthe Vondur debut album Stridsyfirlysing back in 1995, were involvedin the production of the second Vondur album The Galactic Rock nRoll Empire in 1996 and were remastering the original tapes for theAbruptum album Evil Genius released in 1995. IT also wrote lyricsfor both Marduk and Dissection. 8th Sin released their debut albumSinners Inc in October of 2004. Their debut contained a veryaggressive electro/synth orientated style of music combined withriffing guitars and ITs strong and theatrical voice that soundslike a mix of Johan Edlund of Tiamat and Marilyn Manson. Theirsecond album Angelseed And Demonmilk was released in October 2005.That album nailed the 8th Sin-sound totally and when recorded withthe full band it was a completely different atmosphere. The redline through all songs and the production made this album theperfect template of what 8thSin are. Peter Tagtgren were one of theguests on the album, and were doing a great duet with IT on thesong Liars (the first time IT and Peter co-operated since the Waralbum). That song also ended up on several compilation albums inlate 2005.
