Just for one flower. An elegant vase from series Yhden kukan (For one flower in Finnish) crafted using intricate technique of bullicante.

Designed by Eero Sallinen, whose works are featured in the Finnish Glass Museum. Handmade at the Riihimäki glassworks in the 1950-60s.

Bullicante is a technique involving controlled bubbles in glass, originated by Italian glassblowers in Murano in the 1930s. Bubbles became a decorative element, and the complex technology was mastered by highly skilled artisans in Italy and Nordics.

Height 23,5 cm. Excellent vintage condition. Number 1306 in glassworks catalogue for glass art products.
