A demonic mutant called Famine is wreaking havoc throughout the heartland of America! The Captain, D-Man, Falcon, and Nomad are the first heroes to arrive on the scene and make contact with Famine. The Falcon is wounded early in the fight, so that leaves three heroes to save the day! After the battle, the Captain visits Stark Enterprises to see if Tony Stark can manufacture a new shield for him. Story continues in Iron Man 228.
